What we learned about first week was how your power posing influence others. We firstly learned about what is the good shake hands.( Brief, firm, warm!!)
Actually, how we pose really matters when we consider leadership since communication with other team member is one of the most important part of leadership.
Pictures on this article are good example!! The picture above is from last winter. I posed imazing that I was speaking in font of somebody. What I assumed I had been doing was public seach. I tried to be like a politician. However, my friends said I looked like leader of religious group doing religios peach for her believers. If I claim that I am a politician, the party must be some cult religious party. I was shocked.
(↑what I thought I was doing)
What we say may be very sophisticated, however, if your posture is inappropriate or have some problem, people shut the door and your claim will be never heard. Actually, I feel the guy from the second picture should be most reliable among others although I don't know what exactly they are saying ( and I might have been explaining something sophisticated) Truely, posture is important.

Hi Mai,
ReplyDeleteIt is so great to hear from you—I was starting to get worried!
Anyway, you are finally started, and getting started is always the hardest part. A new favorite phrase for me is "Motion creates emotion." The meaning is that once you get started doing something then it starts to become meaningful and motivating.
As for your posts, it is very interesting that you are so into karaoke (this is your flow activity!) and manga and debate. Debate is great, I think, for anyone's personal development.
Finally, I think you have a great power pose in your picture of yourself—YOU DO NOT LOOK LIKE A CULT LEADER! But, if you wanted to improve, just bring your hand down a little and face your palm upwards. That will be more inviting.
Anyway, I am happy to be hearing from you and hope to hear much more.
